Street Department

The Williamsport Street Department is responsible for the maintenance of approximately 13-miles of streets and alleys, including paving, patching, snow removal, road improvements, and infrastructure installation.  The department also maintains the sewer collection system, storm water drainage, and all Williamsport town parks.

Water Department

The Williamsport Water Department is proud to be a member of the American Water Works Association and the Alliance of Indiana Rural Water.

Williamsport's water system is a groundwater system comprised of three wells located within the corporate limits, and 12-miles of main and supply lines.  One elevated storage tank provides 500,000 gallons of storage capacity.  The certified operators licensed with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management hold both Water Distribution and Water Treatment 2 certifications.  The average demand on the system is 180,000 gallons per day.  Williamsport provides more than 900 residences and commercial customers with water services.  Meter readings occur on or around the third week of every month.
